About Serra Center
|For more than thirty-five years, Serra Center has been committed to providing compassionate care for individuals with developmental disabilities. We currently serve more than 80 men and women in our community-based Residential Care Homes, Independent and Supported Living Services. The individuals served live in more than 65 traditional and accessible homes and apartments in residential neighborhoods throughout Alameda County.|
Independent and Supported Living
Serra Center provides Independent Living Services (ILS) and Supported Living Services (SLS) to more than 65 adult men and women living with developmental disabilities. These individuals live in traditional and accessible homes and apartments of their choice, located throughout Southern Alameda County. While both are community based programs, they differ in the frequency and level of support provided.
Residential Care Homes
Our Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled – Handicapped (ICF-DDH) are Licensed by the California Department of Health Services and designed to provide 24 hour care, supervision and support to individuals who have a recurring but intermittent need for skilled nursing services.

Rooted in the philosophy that each of our lives are shaped by the experiences we encounter, Serra Center provides numerous opportunities for the individuals we serve to enjoy and experience the world safely and comfortably.

Purchase a duck and support Serra Center in the Tri-Cities Eighteenth Annual Benefit Race for Non-Profits, on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
On April 26 at 1pm, the duck race will take place at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, with the opportunity for your ducks to win YOU fabulous prizes! (you need not be present to win)
