Who We Are
Since 1975, Serra Center has been committed to providing compassionate care for individuals with developmental disabilities. We serve over 80 men and women in our community-based Residential Care Homes, Independent and Supported Living Services.
Our Impact
We serve over 80 individuals over our three programs. The men and women vary in age from 24 to 89. Nearly half of these individuals (47%) have been with Serra Center for 30 years or more!

More than half of Supported Living clients receive 24 hour 1:1 care in their own home or apartment
Our Services
Residential Care Homes
Serra Center owns and operates Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled-Habilitative (ICF/DD-H) in Fremont. Licensed by the California Department of Health Services, we provide 24-hour care and supervision to individuals who have a need for recurring nursing services.
INdependent Living Services
Independent Living Services (ILS) provides up to 40 hours per month of living-skills training and support with the focus on the individual leading the most self-managed life possible in the least restrictive environment.
Supported Living Services
Supported Living Services (SLS) offers a broad range of services, providing for individuals to live in the home and community of their choice. SLS is designed with the individual to foster nurturing relationships and promote full immersion in the community.
Counseling Services
Serra Center provides counseling and behavioral health services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
